Re-enrollment Packets Sent Home
Re-enrollment forms were mailed yesterday for students currently in grades 7-11 and their younger siblings. The forms for students in grades EC1 - grade 6 went home in bookbags either Thursday or Friday of this week. Let the Admissions Office know immediately if you have not received this important document. Contracts are not valid unless signed and accompanied by the appropriate deposit.
Please note the following deadlines:
- The deadline for returning the forms is January 20 in order to avoid the $100 late fee.
- Priority for space in next year's class is given to families who meet the deadline.
- The firm date is the date after which the Contract becomes binding. The firm date is changing this year from May 31 to March 31.
- In order to cancel the re-enrollment contract, notification must be received in writing to the Admissions Office.

Art 7 Exploration Class Makes a Quilt for Service
Before Christmas break, a class of seventh grade girls in Mrs. Smith's Art Exploration class created a quilt as part a service project for the children of The Neighborhood School in Memphis, a non-profit Christian school that educates and, in some cases, houses children in need. The students were learning about the history of quilt-making and the importance of quilting bees in American history. The quilt will be bound and sent to The Neighborhood School by seventh grader, Meghan Haynes, whose grandmother, Judy McKellar, works at the school.

Readak Reading and Study Skills * 6th - 12th grade
All families should have received two letters in the mail describing the READAK program and the benefits it has to offer our students. We hope you have reviewed this information with your student and plan to attend the Informational Parent Meeting on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Stepherson Room.
