The Open House at Cherry Road - THIS SUNDAY!
This Sunday, November 6, from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m., prospective Jr./Sr. High students are invited to the Harding Cherry Road campus to meet the teachers, hear ensembles from the A cappella chorus and the band, see the new state-of-the-art chemistry lab, talk to coaches, and more! This is a MUST for our current 5th - 6th grade students and their families. It is so much fun for the kids to see what lies ahead for them at Harding Academy. Preview Day for prospective Harding Cordova families will be held next Thursday, November 10, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Please invite anyone who might be interested in enrolling his/her child at Harding in the future. Many of our new families indicate they learned about Harding from their friends. You are our best advertisement! Parents Club ~ Cherry Road

Dear Parents Club Members,
This Sunday (November 6) is Admissions Open House for the Cherry Road Campus. The Parents Club is responsible for helping the Admissions Office decorate the courtyard or gym (depending on the weather) and serving our guests refreshments as they tour the campus. This year all fifth graders have been included in this event. We are expecting more guests than normal and we would like to ask for your help, if you are available. We need 10-15 people to help set up for the event this Saturday (November 5) at noon. We will also need help Sunday to "meet and greet" and help serve. We can work in shifts on Sunday 1:00 - 3:00 pm (set up and serve) or 3:00 - 5:00 pm (serve and clean up). The event time is set for 2-3:30. If you are able to help, please contact Fay Weaver at 233-3754.
We are also having a dessert reception for faculty and staff on Wednesday, December 7. We will need homemade desserts to serve. We will send out more information in the coming weeks.

Reminder: ACT Prep Class is Still Enrolling
There is space remaining in the ACT Prep class that starts this Thursday, November 10, at 3:30. You can download and print or register online at www.hardinglions.org/leap. This 8-hour course is offered by Gary McCormack. It meets once a week for 4 weeks from 3:30 - 5:30 beginning this Thursday. The cost is $170 for the class and $15 for the required book, The Real ACT. Checks should be made payable to Harding Academy. You can also find the book at most local book stores. For course information, contact Gary McCormack at 485-9167.
