Eagles Host Fifth Annual TEI Fundraiser
The Eye Institute's fifth annual "Looking Out for Kids" charity fundraiser was held Saturday, November 5 at the Hafter Student Community Center on the Elkins Park campus.
Philadelphia Eagles Moise Fokou and Joselio Hanson co-hosted the night's festivities, which raised money to help provide eyeglasses and vision care services to underinsured and uninsured children in Philadelphia and its surrounding communities.
With more than 230 guests in attendance, the event was a great success. The Bennett Lounge set the scene for an hour-long VIP reception, where attendees sipped cocktails and enjoyed gourmet hors d'oeuvres.
The highlight of the general reception were the packed silent auction tables, where attendees enjoyed emcee Dr. Andy Gurwood '89 as they bid on autographed memorabilia, theatre and overnight packages, baskets of cheer and more. Throughout the night, the Eagles autographed photos, mingled with guests and were eager to pose for photos.
Pictured above (L to R) are: Board member Dr. Dan Abramowicz, Philadelphia Eagle Joselio Hanson, Board member Dr. Barry Farkas '71, and Salus president, Dr. Thomas L. Lewis '70. For more photos: www.TEIvision.com/LOFK |
