Hi folks!

We have a lot of exciting news here at 4th & Swift. If you haven't already heard, Jamestown Properties has closed on the former City Hall East space across the street from the restaurant. They have officially purchased the 2-million-square-foot building from the city. They are developing the property into mixed-use space including retail, restaurants, entertainment and an organic roof-top garden!  Needless to say, this will transform the neighborhood much like Jamestown did when they re-developed White Provisions on Atlanta's west side, Chelsea Market in Manhattan and several other high-profile projects. Congratulations and a million thanks to Mayor Reed, Councilman Kwanza Hall, Jamestown Properties and all of the people who worked to get this done!

In more good news, we're happy to announce that 4th & Swift has moved from #42 to #15 on Jezebel's top 100 restaurants list for 2011! Thank you Jezebel and thanks to all our fans who voted for us. Next year we're shooting for the top ten! Also, The Atlantan featured us in their annual restaurant issue focusing on our garden, our quality seafood and our "Duck n' Donuts" dessert.

On the food scene, heirloom tomatoes and sweet corn are in full swing and they are having a great year. We're serving the tomatoes with balsamic sorbet, basil and ricotta salata. The sweet corn soup this summer is topped with crabmeat and crispy okra. Other highlights from our menu include Atlantic swordfish, wood grilled Tybee shrimp, lamb meatballs, peaches with arugula and venison.
