A Note from Jay

It's beginning to feel like spring! Our new garden beds are in and ready for planting and we're working on our garden plan. Farmers are calling and stopping by to talk about what's coming.

New Garden Beds

Our three garden beds, installed by our friends at Farmer D Organics, are each twelve feet long, with the center bed having a raised second tier in the middle. We hope to do several varieties of heirloom tomatoes, eggplant, squashes and radishes in one bed. Another with spring greens like arugula, kale and lettuces, and in the center, two-tiered bed, assorted sweet and hot peppers. Finally, we may grow some peas or pole beans along the patio rail and certainly some herbs along the building perimeter.  We hope you'll come enjoy our garden patio this spring.

Garden Border

We are beginning to write our Spring Seasonal Menu, menus for the High Museum Wine Auction Vintners' Reception and Annual High Museum Winemaker Dinner. For the latter, E.T. and Louise Laird of Buckhead have generously offered to host and we're lucky enough to have been paired with Regina Martinelli of Martinelli Winery and David Ramey of Ramey Wine Cellars! This will certainly be an epic dinner.  

Here's just a taste of the Spring Menu:

"Kippured" Wild Salmon
Local Pea Hummus, Pea Tendrils, French Breakfast Radishes, Spiced Carrot Juice and Olive Oil Emulsion
