Hello All,
I figured that I would take over the 'Note' duties from Jay
this week to update all of you about some goings-on in the front of the house. The cocktail revolution, as many of you
know, has taken hold here in Atlanta and I love what I am seeing at restaurants
and bars all over the city in their efforts to develop a culture of creativity
and excitement about what we can do with a bottle of liquor, some herbs, fruits
& spices and an artist's eye. It is fun to see how we can challenge each other to continually raise
the bar.
Here at 4th & Swift, every 6 or 7 weeks the cocktail team of
James Ives, our Bar & Dining Room Manager, Nate Shuman and Paul Gerts, our
Head Bartenders, and I challenge ourselves to create new and innovative
cocktails that reflect both our own distinctive styles and that are reflective of the season. And, I must say,
that I am terribly proud of our most recent efforts.
Leading the charge, for my money, are the Long
Desert Train, a concoction based on Reposado Tequila, Crème de Violette and
Orange Bitters

and the Franz Ferdinand - the Archduke, not the
band - a drink created using house-infused Pear Vodka, Pear Liqueur, Horchata
and a Fall Spiced Nectar.
I would be delighted to see you come out, taste for yourself
and let me know what you think of our efforts. And if you would like to see the entire list of cocktails that
we are currently offering, just follow this link.
Thank you so much and I look forward to seeing you soon and keep challenging yourself ~
