| A Note from Jay
Special thanks to the over 200 people who came out to help us celebrate our One-Year Anniversary and support the Historic Fourth Ward Park Conservancy. The event was a big hit and a great time was had by all. So far, we have raised over $1200 for the Conservancy. Sources tell me construction on the park/lake will start any day now and that by this time next year, 4th & Swift will overlook Atlanta's newest green space.
On the farm front, heirloom tomatoes are here! Moore Farms and Friends, as well
as others, are now harvesting several varietals of gorgeous organic heirloom tomatoes. We are serving them simply sliced or quartered, with extra virgin olive oil and saba (filtered and reduced Trebbiano grape must), a light sprinkling of course pink Hawaiian salt and a dollop of creamy Sweet Grass Dairy artisanal chèvre.
The Tybee Island white shrimp continue to be beautiful and delicious - we are getting lots of great comments on them. We serve them in a shallow pool of white gazpacho made from cukes and almonds - among other things - and a dollop of fresh crushed avocado salsa.

Local melons are here and we are serving watermelon and cantaloupe tossed with La Quercia proscuitto and ricotta salata.
Crenshaw melons are right around the corner.
Corn, blueberries and peaches are reaching their potential as well and all are on our current Seasonal Menu. The summer harvest is definitely here!
Next week we are getting Mishima Ranch Kobe Beef top round - some of the best beef raised in the United States. Looking forward to steak tartare as well as cutting some of it into nice bistro steaks and grilling them over hardwoods.
The red grouper coming out of the Gulf is pristine and delicious right now as well. We should have that for a few weeks I hope - undoubtedly, one of my favorite fish to eat and cook.
Don't forget we are still offering our $35, 3-course "Dine at Dusk" menu from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm every night. Enjoy a small plate, large plate and dessert off our seasonal menu for a great price and make a show or still be home early!
I will also be doing some cooking demos this summer for those interested in learning how to prepare delicious summery foods. Join me at Serenbe Farms on July 25, the Morningside Farmers' Market on August 1 to "celebrate the tomato" and the "Tomato Festival" at White Provision on August 9.
4th & Swift will be CLOSED in observance ofIndependence Day on Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5
Enjoy the holiday weekend with your family.
Love your mama ~ Eat real food!
Thanks,
