This week's market update: we have Tybee Island white shrimp and South Carolina Soft Shell Crabs. Local (North Georgia) peaches have been spotted - not perfect yet but great for grilling, and the corn keeps getting better. We have fresh butter lettuce, fresh cherries and a big hunk of Cabot Clothbound Cheddar from Vermont. (awesome)
 We started our Organic herb and vegetable garden on the patio at 4th & Swift last month. We hope to expand it each year to include more of the green space here at Southern Dairies, most of it right on our patio. We are starting out with chilies, herbs, eggplant and the tomatoes are thriving in the morning sun they get on our patio. I am already looking forward to expanding next spring!

celebration on Saturday, June 27th! A portion of
our sales that evening will benefit the
Historic Fourth Ward Park Conservancy.
We will offer 4 courses, with choices (4 of them,
actually) for $44. The menu will showcase the best
of our spring and summer menus.
We have begun taking reservations and hope you
will join us!
And this just in! Our good friend, Savannah photographer Meryl Truett, will attend our Anniversary Dinner and exhibit her "Picturing the Beltline" series. Meryl is the photographer who took the photos in our lounge. Her latest photo series takes us through a tour of the Beltline neighborhoods and especially the Old 4th Ward - a fitting subject for our first anniversary here in the Old 4th Ward. And Meryl will donate a portion of any art sold to the Conservancy as well.
