Welcome to the March 2010 issue of the Alumni E-Newsletter!

To commence the Lenten season at Totino-Grace, our community gathered for an Ash Wednesday prayer service. Campus Minister Andrew Blake '99 spoke to students about his own Lenten journey as a high school student, college student and today. His reflection encouraged and challenged Totino-Grace students to pray, fast and give.
The Campus Ministry Department has coordinated a Lenten Simple Lunch Series for students and staff. On Wednesdays during Lent, participants will share a simple meal and view and discuss an episode of 30 Days. The 30 Days series is done by Morgan Spurlock, the creator of "Super Size Me", and features people living in a variety of situations different from their usual circumstances for 30 days. Totino-Grace will begin the lunch series with topics about minimum wage and trade, accumulation of material things and waste. To learn more about the 30 Days series, click
The Totino-Grace Student Ministry Team created an online prayer book for students and staff to use throughout the school day. Student Ministers have written personal reflections on the daily readings and have provided eight prayers for each school day that teachers can use in class. If you would like to view the resource created by the Campus Ministry Department, please click

In response to a successful inaugural year, Totino-Grace will once again host two Fish Fry dinners to raise funds for Angel Outreach. Angel Outreach is a program, made available through the Totino-Grace Advancement Office and Parent Organization, which provides financial help for the basic school-related needs of students experiencing extreme financial hardship. These needs may include but are not limited to money for lunches, uniforms and school supplies. There are many Totino-Grace students who receive financial aid to attend school, but who have a need for resources for everyday expenses as well.
The first Fish Fry of 2010 had attendance beyond our expectations! We hope you are able to join us on Friday, March 26th, for the final Fish Fry Fundraiser at Totino-Grace this Lent.
