spotlitesSpotlight on our Board

Jay Nickels
jay

Jay Nickels works for Nevada Color Litho and has served on the Board of Nevada Child Seekers for two years where he currently holds the office of Secretary.  With his coordination efforts, Nevada Color Litho has provided many benefits to the organization and the clients we serve. His participation in special events has resulted in additional supporters and partners in protecting children. And, when we needed help moving into our new offices, Jay was the one who showed up to help.

He grew up in Mankato, MN and moved to Las Vegas when he was 25.   Jay met his beautiful wife Jenn in Las Vegas and they have been married for eight years.  "We have been blessed with two great boys, Jaxon who just turned seven and Jaren who turns four in July.   Jaxon loves to play baseball and any other sport where he gets to wrestle with Dad.  Jaren of course has to join in; he follows his big brother everywhere."  Jay is looking forward to Jaxon playing baseball this year.

Last year Jay celebrated his 18th year with Taylor Corporation and his 12th year in Las Vegas.  "I remember when I first got offered the job in Vegas, I was going to try it for five years and see what happens.  The gamble really paid off for me, both professionally and personally."

We are fortunate to have a dedicated supporter like Jay on our Board

NV Energy supports safety skills programs
 nv energy
On Friday April 3, 2009, Doretha Graham-Easler of NV Energy presented a check to Stephanie Parker of Nevada Child Seekers for $10,000 at The Orleans as part of the Wranglers Goals for Kids. NV Energy was instrumental in enabling Nevada Child Seekers' expansion of safety skills programs to reach children through middle school. To date five children in Clark County have used the skills to thwart attempted abductions and stop sexual exploitation. NV Energy has been a consistent partner in protecting the children in our community.
