| RAW files - What's Missing?
|
Everyone shoots RAW, but not everyone saves RAW. It is how you set your camera that determines what gets saved to the memory chip! You have the potential to save greater than 68.7 Billion colors in a 12 bit RAW file but your camera only saves roughly 16.7 Million colors in an 8 bit JPEG. With a RAW to JPEG tonal ratio of 4096 to 1, it's easy to see what's missing. For more information, click here. North American Photo has a complete line of RAW work flows to choose from. RAW to Print, RAW to thumbnails and RAW to Hi-Res. These work flows save you time while providing you with the best quality conversions and industry leading color corrections taking advantage of our proprietary IIES process.
