Attila Bartis & Clemens Meyer: "Behind the Iron Curtain"

These two European writers will read from their works and discuss their position as "young authors from former Eastern Europe." They are part of the first generation of literature writers who have emerged from the former Eastern European soviet bloc.

In conjunction with the exhibition, "Intended Consequences: Rwandan Children Born of Rape," Brandeis students will read victims' testimonies to mark the 15th anniversary of the Rwandan genocide.

Obama's 100 Days and foreign policy

Join a dialogue on President Obama's first 100 days in office with experts on foreign policy, economics, and health care. Featuring Ambassador Charles Dunbar, Boston University Professor of International Relations and former Ambassador to Qatar and Yemen; Dr. N. Gregory Makiw, Harvard Professor of Economics and former Chairman of President George W. Bush's Council of Economic Advisers; and Dr. Stuart Altman, Sol C. Chaikin Professor of National Health Policy at Brandeis and former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health Policy.

Leonard Bernstein Festival

Leonard Bernstein Festival of the Creative Arts
This year's festival will take place April 22 to 26.

Highlights include the Brandeis-Wellesley Orchestra and University Chorus performing "Carmina Burana," and more than 100 free performances and family activities featuring the Tanglewood Marionettes, the theatre-poets of ARTiculation, Big Nazo street performers, world music by the Guy Mendilow Band, tours of the Rose Art Museum, and public art making with Sidewalk Sam.
