    This timely symposium tackles the promise and perils of the field of genetics from the perspective of race and race relations. Presented by the Department of African and Afro-American Studies, with support from the Office of the Provost.

  • Palestinian Journalist Khaled Abu Toameh

    Khaled Abu Toameh, a Palestinian journalist who writes for the Jerusalem Post, will lead a discussion on political organizations in Gaza and the West Bank, journalistic integrity and free speech. Hosted by Students United for Israel (SUI).

  • Greater Boston Anthropology Consortium 4th Annual Student Conference

    A collaborative student event co-sponsored by the Anthropology departments of Brandeis University, Clark University, Olin College, Tufts University, Wellesley College, and Wheaton College.

  • STAND: Northeast Regional Conference
    Fri. Feb. 29 - Sun., Mar. 2nd
    STAND: A Student Anti-Genocide Coalition is holding 6 Regional Conferences across the country that will provide students with new tools and resources that they can use to become more effective anti-genocide advocates. Brandeis University is hosting the three-day Northeast Regional Conference. Check the website for schedule and location details.

Brandeis-Al-Quds 2008 Summer Institute

Part of the Brandeis-Al-Quds University partnership, the Institute brings eight Brandeis students together with eight students from Al-Quds University for a 10-day academic and cultural exploration in Istanbul, Turkey.
