    This spring, IBS is hosting a number of local, national and world CEOs and entrepreneurs. Next week's speakers include the author of The Triple Bottom Line and the president of Loyalty Factor. These presentations are open to all.

    The Japan Studies Colloquium Series, devoted to "Re-imagining Tokyo," begins with a lecture on the nature of fire in the city by Professor Jordan Sand, Georgetown University.

    Professor Martin King Whyte (Harvard University) speaks on "Popular Attitudes Towards Inequality and Issues of Distributive Justice and Injustice in Contemporary China."

    Annual student cultural show showcases the dance, music, and martial arts of Korea.

  • Trade and Sustainable Development

    Part of the Sustainable International Development (SID) Friday Speaker Seriers. David Boyer, Heller Lecturer and Coordinator of the Trade Knowledge Network at the International Institute for Sustainable Development, discusses transnational networks for monitoring and researching trade.
  • Around the World in a String Quartet
    Sat. 2/2, 7:00 p.m. talk, 8:00 p.m. concert
    Slosberg Recital Hall

    The winter concert of the Lydian string quartet features music from the Ukraine, Iran, and Germany, including a pre-conference talk with Iranian composer Reza Vali.
