Our editorial calling for A Voters' Health Care Platform appeared in the Seattle P-I on Sunday. Read it here!
This is the first of a series of news stories on what the public values. Please pass this along to friends and colleagues who would find this of interest.
As of today, we have had over 100 online comments from Seattle PI readers, and CodeBlueNow! is getting great traction in the blogosphere as well. We'd love to hear your thoughts, too. Email us at info@codebluenow.org. |
| CodeBlueNow! Pulse of the People: What Washingtonians Want
The Washington State Pulse® Data is in! |
|
CodeBlueNow! has completed its second state-wide market research survey of what the public values in a health care system in Washington State.
And guess what? Washingtonians want information, accountability, and have everyone covered in a new health care system. The data shows consensus and literally shatters perceived assumptions of differences along party lines, age, and income. People are actually agreeing on core principles on health care reform.
The survey was completed by Gilmore Research of 600 Washingtonians in December 2007. The data is statistically valid with a 3-4% plus or minus margin of error.
Up next week: watch our website for the comparison report on Pulse ® data from Washington and Iowa as well as our comparison of these findings with Presidential candidates' health care plans. |

CodeBlueNow! Wants YOU!
To Join in Building the Voters' Health Care Platform |
|
We can do this in two ways: we can have in-person discussions and online discussions.
As a means to further our initiatives, we have upgraded our website to offer more interactive tools so that we may branch out into a real-time online discussion about reforming health care in our country.
We will soon introduce an online discussion forum for broader conversations. We will develop guidelines for discussion groups and look for interesting articles and research on delivery systems as a means to start the conversations.
We are not going to talk about paying for services just yet. We start with discussing what would be important to us in a new, improved delivery system and build on shared values.
We'll be inviting you and thousands of others to participate in this grassroots effort. Stay tuned, and get ready to share your ideas.
Cheers and more later,
Kathleen O'Connor
