Summer is a beautiful time for photography!

CLICK! Capturing images is an art and a science. CLICK! As a master of the dark art of Photography she can assure you that it's much more than "point and CLICK!" Once upon a time, it required a degree in Alchemy, similar to her Bachelor of Art majoring in Photography from UC Riverside. CLICK! Now, the magic happens out in the light where, since 1989 Brandi Easter Photography CLICK! has married professionalism with fine art when capturing the perfect image. CLICK! From Southern California to Arcata, California, in studio or on location, glassware to jewels, CLICK! wire sculptures to Relay for Life events, CLICK! every step, every image captured, adds to the magic of Brandi Easter.

It's almost Lemonade Day on the North Coast!

Show your support for these budding entrepreneurs

by getting your thirst quenched

at lemonade stands on June 4th.

As the kids are having fun experimenting with lemonade recipes, designing and crafting a lemonade stand and selling lemonade to friends and neighbors, they actually will be learning important life lessons that they can utilize throughout their life.

Look for lemonade stands at all the local events, including Pony Express Days, Crabs Season Opener, Fortuna City Wide Yard Sale, and Eureka's Arts Alive!

You can plan ahead and check out the Stand Map!

I-9 Handbook, E-Verify Self-Check Are New Tools for Verifying Employment Eligibility

The 2011 Handbook for Employers: Instructions for Completing Form I-9 (M-274) provides improved instructions and visual aids on a variety of topics related to Form I-9.

Many topics, including help guides, were recently updated. Some of the topics included:  examples of how to complete each section of the form, questions and answers on what constitutes a Native American tribal document, adds a Form I-9 retention calculator to help employers assess how long they must retain the form, and clarification on when a leave of absence is considered a break in employment, and whether a new Form I-9 is necessary.

This is just a sampling of the updates.
