United Way Day of Action

On Monday, December 5, 2011 the United Way Day of Action will focus on educational and health-related volunteer projects involving reading, tutoring and mentoring our youth in Tompkins County.
The United Way Day of Action provides opportunities for volunteer organizations and individuals to help others in our community.

| Congratulations John Alexander, Cornell Entrepreneur of the Year |
|
John Alexander '74, MBA '76, a founder of The CBORD Group Inc., has been named 2012 Cornell Entrepreneur of the Year. Currently UWTC Emeritus Director, John served as 2002 Community Campaign Chair and as Board member from 2002 - 2008. In 2008, John was named Patricia E. Stage Volunteer of the Year for his many contributions. John initiated United Way's Corporate Cornerstone Partners Program in 2007. Thanks to our generous Corporate Cornerstone Partners, 100% of our donors' gifts have been used to support health and human services and programs in our communities for the past four years.
UWTC volunteers and staff congratulate John Alexander for this outstanding achievement.
