David T.Z. Mindich
St. Michael's College

David Mindich

An AEJMC member since 1991, Mindich headed the History Division in 1998-1999. In 2002, the AEJMC awarded Mindich the Krieghbaum Under-40 Award.  He served on the Task Force on Roles and Responsibilities of Elected Standing Committees and was elected to the Standing Committee on Research in 2004. Mindich is the chair of AEJMC Strategic Plan Implementation Committee. He co-wrote a motion to empower the AEJMC president to comment on issues relevant to the mission of the association. 


 
Kyu Ho Youm
University of Oregon

Kyu Ho Youm

As an active AEJMC member of 27 years, Youm first attended the AEJMC meeting in 1983 as a graduate student.  Over the years, he has held various elected and appointed positions in AEJMC, including as head and vice head of the Law and Policy Division and as member of the Research Committee and of the Publications Committee.  He also served as president of the Southwest Education Council for Journalism and Mass Communication and of the Korean-American Communication Association.
