Teacher Appreciation Day
Monday, October 4th, 2010
3pm - 6pm
Are you a teacher?
A friend of a teacher?
A family member of a teacher?
Have you been taught by a teacher?
Have you ever been failed by a teacher?
Did you receive a long-awaited paycheck on Oct. 1st?!
If you've answered "Yes" to any of these questions, then you're eligible to take part in all of our festivities on Monday, October 4th!
Festivities include:
 - Ridiculously reduced wine & beer glass prices. Only $5 per glass for selected beers and wines!
- Free Chair Massages courtesy of Renew Massage & Skin Care
- Cheese, Meats, & Bread
- Teacher fun & networking
- Raffles!
- And a few other surprises!

By the way, there's still time if anybody out there would like to promote their business and/or donate any items that can be raffled, please let us know. We'll be more than happy to thank you as a donor in our email newsletter that goes out to 5,000+ customers! Just email us at info@vinaterowineshop if you'd like to participate.
 FYI: You may want to bring your own stemware/glass (BYOG). We will be providing acrylic glasses, so if you want to drink your wine/beer in something else, then feel free to bring your own stemware. Having a wine charm would also be a good idea. By doing this we are saving countless hours hand washing and polishing all the Riedel stemware on this one special day. Thank you!

Join us for our Vinatero Vinyl Night!
Just bring your favorite vinyls, put your name on a sign up sheet, and when your name is called you get to play YOUR song ON OUR TURNTABLE for the entire bar to hear. Remember, only 10 minutes max per song. Don't have any vinyls? No problem, just come and enjoy the party!
These nights are always a guaranteed good time for all who attend. Bring a friend, or come on your own and make new friends.
Due to the larger attendance, we will be featuring specially selected wines by the glass only, but not offering $2 tastings. Feel free to also buy any wine bottle at our shop and drink for only the retail price of the bottle. You can share a bottle with a friend... or not!
21 & over only. As always, please have your Valid ID.

Uptown Whittier Zombie Pub Crawl
Dia de Los Muertos Celebration
Saturday, October 23rd, 2010
The Uptown Whittier Zombie Pub Crawl is back for its second event. The theme for this crawl is Dia de los Muertos. It will start at the Central Park Gazebo at 6:30 and go until last call. This is an amazing event that has almost every bar and restaurant in Uptown Whittier participating. Costumes are encouraged but not required. This is a 21 and over event and ID is required. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Vinatero Wine Shop is pleased to announce its support for Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital's Patrcia L. Scheifly Breast Health Center via the "Scheifly Mammogram Fund," which provides FREE mammograms to women who are uninsured or underinsured. A donation of any size can help save a life.
EARLY DETECTION is the key to saving lives. Did you know....
- 70% of women who die from Breast Cancer NEVER had a screening?
- A woman diagnosed at stage 1 has a 95% chance of surviving beyond 5 yrs?
- 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer some time in her life?
Join us in giving the gift of early detection. A $100 donation provides a free mammogram to a woman in need. To make a donation in any amount, you can do any of the following:

As an extra incentive, Vinatero is offering a one time 15% off retail discount for any person who brings in proof of their $10 or more donation! Offer valid now through the entire month of October 2010. Not valid for bar or gift certificate purchases.
To all our friends out there, regardless of whether you are able to donate or not, please remind your Mothers, Grandmothers, Sisters, Daughters, Girlfriends, and Wives to get their annual screenings beginning at age 40. All you have to do is ask "Have you got your screening yet?" Keep asking until the answer is "Yes."
