Join us for our "Christmas & Holiday Music" iPod Night
on Tuesday, December 15th, 2009!
The theme is CHRISTMAS & HOLIDAY songs. Just bring your mp3 player, put your name on a sign up sheet, and when your name is called you get to play YOUR song for the entire bar to hear. Remember, only 10 minutes ...max per song. Don't have an mp3 player? No problem, just come and enjoy the party!
These nights are always a guaranteed good time for all who attend. Bring a friend, or come on your own and make new friends.

 Uptown Whittier Holiday SonataSaturday, December 19th, 2009
This traditional evening activity will be throughout the Uptown business district featuring: horse drawn carriage rides, Santa's Village, & musical entertainment will be provided in the grassy park area on Greenleaf between Bailey and Philadelphia Streets. Stores and shops will be hosting an "open house" for you to visit their locations and work on all your holiday shopping needs. There are over 40 dining spots in Uptown to enjoy a snack or to have dinner. Definitely bring the little ones to visit Santa! Dress warmly and be prepared for an enchanted evening that is sure to get you in the Holiday mood.
Vinatero will be open for business as usual, with the addition of our Chocolatier Daryl Galindo sampling and selling his to-die-for homemade sweets for the holidays. Don't miss the opportunity to try D's Delights and purchase those extra special gifts and stocking stuffers.

Lastly...
Our dear friends at Little Old Bookshop just announced they may have to close their doors after 33 years in business unless they find a buyer. This is extremely sad news for so many reasons. We do not want to see another business leave Uptown Whittier, and we do not want to see Whittier lose one of its most prized treasures; our own bookstore that Whittier has grown to love since it was opened in 1976. So, please if you have any news of a potential buyer, then contact Little Old Bookshop directly.
