  The Month of August is Hot at Vinatero!
We mean "hot" in a cool way, not in a sticky and uncomfortable kind of way.  Don't worry, our air conditioner is on full-blast.

We have at least three reasons to celebrate this month of August:
  1. We have NEW STORE HOURS!  Yep, you asked for it and we got it!  We are now OPEN 7 DAYS a week.  *** Sunday - Thursday:  12noon - 10pm ***  Friday & Saturday:  12noon - 12midnight ***  Yay!  Finally!
  2. We got an awesome write up in the Whittier Daily News!  Check it out below.
  3. And most importantly, Vinatero has the BEST CUSTOMERS on earth!  We are not exaggerating either.

WINE 101 - Monday 8/17/09 at 7pm
Instructor:  Peter Kao
 
This class is for the BEGINNING wine drinker who would like to learn more about the BASICS, such as:
  • how to properly open and present a bottle
  • the etiquette of wine tasting (for example, not chewing gum and not wearing fragrances to a wine shop or wine tasting)
  • how to taste & enjoy wine
  • basic food & wine pairing
  • and much, much more! 

 
 
BEER 101 - Saturday 8/22/09 at 5pm
Instructor:  Dean Green
 
This class is for the BEGINNING beer drinker who would like to learn more about the BASICS, such as:
  • how beer is made (the brewing process)
  • beer styles and their characteristics 
  • proper glassware
  • beer culture 
  • and much more sudsy fun! 

 


 
CHAMPAGNE 101 - Saturday 8/29/09 at 5pm
Instructor:  Gabriel Trevino
 
This class is for the BEGINNING champagne drinker who would like to learn more about the BASICS, such as:
  • how to properly open a bottle of champagne
  • how champagne is made
  • the history of Champagne
  • sweetness levels of Champagne
  • and lots more bubbly fun!
 
 
Reserve your spot now for any one of these classes for only $25 per person, per class.  This price includes the wine/beer education, all the wine/beer that is poured, light appetizers, and fun!  As a bonus, all paid attendees will receive 10% off all their purchases the day of the event!

Vinatero ipod Night
Vinatero ipod Nights are back!
Just bring your mp3 player, put your name on a sign up sheet, and when your name is called you get to play YOUR song for the entire bar to hear.  We plan to hold the event on selected Thursday nights 5pm - 10pm.  Each night will have a different theme.  Remember, only 10 minutes max per song. 
 
The next two nights will be:
  • Thursday 8/13/09 - DRINKING songs - Only songs related to drinking will be played.
  • Thursday 8/27/09 - COVER songs - Only songs that are NOT originals will be played.
Music, wine, beer, old friends, & new friends... the perfect ingredients for another wonderful evening at Vinatero!

We are also introducing CORKAGE FREE MONDAYS at Vinatero.  You can choose your favorite bottle of wine from our shelves and drink it at the bar for just the retail price. What a deal!
