 Tuesday Tasting at Vinatero!

Thanks to all of you who have been telling your friends, families and coworkers about Vinatero. We are continually meeting new people that are referred by our great customers. We look forward to meeting more of your "wine and beer loving" friends.
On October 1st we will be hosting our 1st Annual TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY. It's on a Monday, when we're usually closed, so we will be opening at 3pm that day. All Store Specials will apply to teachers, friends of teachers, families of teachers, or anybody that was ever taught by a teacher. In other words, EVERYONE! Stay tuned for the details and start spreading the word.
Remember to put the Opolo Vineyards Tasting in your calendar for September 30th. This will be a tasting you definitely do not want to miss... especially all you Opolo Mountain Zinfandel Groupees! We'll be sending out more information in our next newsletter.
We know it's only September, but the holidays are coming and we're busily gearing up for it by doing some of the following:

We're purchasing new gift merchandise: t-shirts, stemware, wine accessories, books, decanters, ...

New wine & beer inventory is being purchased and delivered daily.

We will continue to offer Vinatero Gift Certificates.

We will be well-stocked with all your favorites.

We will assemble personalized gift baskets with items specifically chosen by you.

Garretson Wine Company
featuring
Mat Garretson
Believe it or not, this tasting has been in the planning stages for the last two years! Ever since we met Mat Garretson on a wonderful trip to Paso Robles, even before the idea of Vinatero was ever conceived, we knew we wanted to have him be a part of our new wine shop. It was important that we opened up Vinatero with his "G White" and "The Craic" Syrah (pronounced 'crack') on our shelves.
The first time we were in the Garretson tasting room Ernie notice a tail hook on the wall. Since Ernie has a past in Naval Aviation he became instantly curious. It turns out that Mat Garretson used to be an A-7 Navy Jet Pilot. Quite a coincidence since Ernie was an A-6 Jet Mechanic. They figured out they have been on some of the same flight decks, but never at the same time. Most of that first meeting was spent on jet talk, not wine talk. Mat even proudly showed us the ejection seat in his office! On a separate occasion, we've also had the pleasure of meeting Mat's wife Amie. We can definitely see why he made his "Mon Amie" Syrah especially for her.
