Bill Reimer
Prayer Support is requested for twenty-three year old Bill Reimer who begins an aggressive six to eight week treatment regimen for Acute Lymphatic Leukemia on January 21st. The treatments will occur in Edmonton, an eight hour drive from his family's home in Prespatou, British Columbia (in the Fort St. John area). Doctors have given Bill a 40% chance of survival. His sister Kathy has shared that Bill is approaching his treatments in a positive frame of mind and determined that he will survive.
Bill's mother Betty will accompany him in Edmonton, where they will be staying at the Mennonite Guest House that is close to the hospital. Let's uphold Bill, his parents, MAX Canada members, Henry and Betty and his three siblings during this difficult time of treatment, uncertainty and separation. We also give thanks for the strong support the Prespatou Mennonite Church is providing to Bill's parents and family and the support of the People's Mission, in Fort St. John, where Bill is a member.
Ivan Rohrer
At the other end of the age spectrum and on the other side of the continent, prayer is requested for ninety year old Ivan Rohrer from Dayton, Virginia. Ivan had a stroke in 2003 and was left with limited mobility. Recently, complications developed and he was hospitalized on January 17th for a colonoscopy to determine cause and possible treatment. Given Ivan's advanced age, there is concern about whether he has the strength for what he is facing. Ivan and his wife Martha are part of the Dayton Mennonite Church. Let's uphold them with our thoughts and prayers.
It is indeed wonderful that the MAX family, spread across Canada and the United States, can offer this prayer ministry support to members and their families across the continent.
