9 am - 2 pm Rosanne Kaznowski -Reiki has a very unique history. Although the Reiki energy itself goes back over 2500 years, as evidenced in Sanskrit Sutras, and in the writings of Tibetan Monks and Enlightened Masters, the history of Reiki as taught today is much more modern. It begins in the early 1900s. Evidence of Reiki from before World War II remained in Japan and has been rediscovered by the rest of the world very recently. With roots in Japan prior to World War II, it is not surprising that some documentation was lost. Apparently the survivors of Dr. Hayashi lost to the war the resources allowing them to continue the clinic he founded, and many stopped practicing Reiki for fear of persecution for not 'supporting the war'. Others continued to practice and their students are still practicing today.
10:30 -2 pm Dr. Mary Campalli (former owner of LaPolla Chiropractic Center in Marlboro). Dr. Mary has been a chiropractor for over 25 years and specializes in NISA (Neuromuscular Integration & Structural Alignment), which corrects & aligns the body through distinctive treatments which involves soft tissue (ie.muscle, tendons, ligament) adjustments. She is highly qualified in treatment of sports, industrial & auto injuries, plus pregnant, geriatric and pediatric patients.
10:45 - Free Yoga Class with Joan Miller -A positively-charged yoga practice that incorporates fitness, relaxation and guided meditation, visualization and affirmations, infused w/ pilates, that firms and strengthens your core with a combination of mat and ball exercises performed mindfully.
12 pm - Kara Greevy - LATIN GROOV' w/ Core Fusion-This dance/sport inspired program is designed to enhance your fitness level while moving your hips to fun and motivating music!
12-2 Natalie Schindler- Owner & Personal Trainer of Total Body Fitness, offers personal training to help achieve your goals. Whether your goal is weight loss, overall conditioning for better health or you have your sights set for your first 5K, 10K or Marathon, Personal trainer Natalie will help get you there! We want to thank all the people who take the time and make a conscious effort to stop at the market each week. We thank you for your emails and we will be working on bringing even more farmers and vendors to the market and have created a new parking design. We enjoy meeting up with everyone on Saturdays, knowing the market patrons will be enjoying some of the finest quality fruits, vegetables and products that the Heart of the Hudson Valley Farmers Market can supply, bringing the natural farm fresh goodness to their tables. We want to continue to provide what our Market patrons want, so please give us feedback on how we can make it a place you'll want to visit over & over again.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow and trust you will buy local through our vendors.
