Toronto officials are trying to construct a deal that would have one of the city's two major fall marathons move to the spring because having two events so close together overtaxes the city -- and local runners. The National Post reports that the events raise millions for charity.
Denver's Gorilla Run set a world record last fall for most people dressed as a gorilla in a single location (1,061). The 3.5 mile run/walk raises money for the Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund.
The AIDS Foundation of Chicago has ended its relationship with the National AIDS Marathon Training Program and launched its own endurance training program: Team to End AIDS |
