Greetings!
In spite of the economic crisis, there's some good news out in the field this fall.
The October 5 Komen Denver Race for the Cure enjoyed increased participation and increased fundraising per participant, according to spokesperson Dana Brandorff. "Our event happened in the middle of the bailout and people stayed with us," she said.
The Bike MS City to Shore Ride on September 27 & 28 raised $5.5 million, a million more than in 2007, according to Kevin Moffitt of the National MS Society Greater Delaware Chapter. Most of that money was raised in advance so "the bigger issue is what happens next year," he points out.
Clearly, if the recession stretches into 2009, there will be major challenges to deal with. All the more reason why learning to work smarter will be critical to success.
Looking forward to being a part of your success in good times and tough times.
