| Greetings! |
With one month down already, 2010 seems to be passing by at Autobahn speed! THAWOUT will be here before we know it, and we look forward to having many of you on May 1st to help us celebrate our 35th Anniversary!
In addition to our regular work, we've got some exciting projects going on right now, including a new track car build and the restoration of a piece of GMP history. Also, after many months of searching for the right hydraulic lift, our new custom-built setup is in place and ready for action. See the features below for more details!

| THAWOUT 2010- Track Day moved to Friday April 30th |
We now have the Track Day scheduled for Friday April 30th instead of Sunday May 2nd. It will be held at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC, with the Palmetto Motorsports Club. Participants can expect at least five 20-minute track sessions, possibly more if time permits. For those not familiar with CMP, it is a 2.3 mile 14-turn road course about 1 1/2 hours south of Charlotte. Registration for the event is $275, which includes track time with an instructor and a lunch reception. Those with documented Solo or Super Solo experience do not require an instructor and pay $225. Long pants and sleeves required for all drivers.

| Projekt 35- Make and Model Revealed! |
 We carefully considered a few different cars for this project, and we happened upon one that we couldn't pass up! It's a 2001 Audi S3 (8L chassis) that was partially prepared for the track but never completed. We determined it would the perfect platform for our purposes, having a relatively lightweight AWD chassis and proven 1.8t power. The progress will be posted and updated regularly in a thread on the Audizine discussion forum: GMP S3 Build Thread. We plan to have the car ready for the THAWOUT 2010 Track Day on April 30th. |
| GMP Rabbit Restoration |
We've recently begun the restoration of our original GMP race car from the 1970s and 80s. This very special 1975 Mk1 VW Rabbit was the test-bed for some of our first products, including sway bars, strut braces, and race engine packages for early watercooled VWs. Our goal is return this car back to how it was when it last raced. This will include reinstallation of the 8v 4-cylinder engine with racing carburetors, along with fresh paint and new decals. | APR 2010+ Software |
 GMP Performance is your source for APR ECU upgrades on 2010+ Audi and VW 2.0T vehicles. We have upgraded our equipment to facilitate VAG's recent update of their engine management system, and have sucessfully completed one if the first Mk6 GTI APR dealer flashes in the country. The process is a bit more involved than on the 2009 and older models, but it can still be done with a short wait at our Charlotte-based facility. More... |
| Sprint Booster available now with Selectable Programming! |
We are excited to announce that Sprint Booster has released new units with Selectable Programming! This enables the user to choose between 3 throttle response settings: Program 1 (moderately improved response), Program 2 (aggressively improved response) and Stock. The included switch can either be connected all the time and mounted on the dashboard, or connected only when switching and then removed.
