National Achievement Award Winners to DC

Steph Fernandes, NAA Winner Kicking off this year's annual Record-A-Thon are six outstanding Learning Ally members who are joining us in Washington, DC to receive the 52nd Annual National Achievement Awards! These students have excelled academically, demonstrated exemplary community leadership, and are giving back by helping others in need. They'll share their stories in public at the NAA Roundtable: The Impact of Access slated for the morning of February 27 at Capitol Hill; the awards ceremony to honor them will take place that evening at the Washington Court Hotel. These remarkable students are an inspiration to our volunteers, donors and community - offering living proof of Learning Ally's crucial role in leveling the educational playing field and developing future leaders.

Apply for this year's awards by March 15.

Join Learning Ally for Record-A-Thon

The week of February 27 - March 3, 2012, Learning Ally is celebrating "Different Ways to Read Across America" during our national Record-A-Thon. Go to RecordAThon.org to help us reach our national goal of $500,000.

Candice Coll Your generous donation will help support our efforts in local studios across the country to increase our library of recorded texts for individuals who are blind and have reading-based disabilities.

Record-A-Thon is a marathon week during which our volunteers across the nation keep our recording booths 100% full in order to increase production of accessible educational content for the students and schools we serve. It's also a great opportunity to express our gratitude to the thousands of dedicated volunteers for all that they do.

Your support will:

- Reach more students

- Grow our library

- Recruit more teachers, schools and volunteers

- Raise awareness that students can read and learn in different ways
