A Singular Life
|
By Melissa Lapier

My mother's worst nightmare has come true: I'm 36 years old and single. Or maybe her worst nightmare is that I've brought her no grandchildren. Either way, I'm not what she planned for. When I was a little girl, I always assumed that by the ripe old age of 36 I'd be married with a few kids and a dog. Well, I have the dog and my life is the most perfect life of anyone I know.
Each day I wake up nude, go to a job I love (or work from home, if I so desire), talk or meet with dear friends, and enjoy numerous forms of recreation that I love. In short, I guess the husband and kids aren't needed for me to live the happiest life of anyone I know. It wasn't in my plans to be single but I'm finding that it's worked out rather nicely. Shirley MacLaine once said, "I don't need a man to rectify my existence. The most profound relationship we'll ever have is the one with ourselves." I think she's right.
Being single is wonderful but being discriminated against for being single is not...

Taking Back "Nudist" On The Internet
| If you've done a Web search for the term "nudist" you most certainly received results from websites which do not adhere to the Principles and Standards of the American Association for Nude Recreation. To assist websites who do comply with these standards, they will be able to display an AANR Trusted Websites "seal of approval" on their website, showing that their site is aligned with AANR's principles and standards. There will be a corresponding page on AANR.com that lists these sites with backlinks to them. This is a great opportunity for nudists to join forces and show how many businesses and websites comply with AANR's nudity policies and help true nudist websites gain greater exposure. Find more information about the AANR Trusted Websites program and sign up your site here. |

Clubs/Businesses Show Economic Impact
| Pasco County, Florida nudists are once again proving their economic clout, and campaign organizers hope local cash registers will be overflowing with $2 bills.. The Pasco Area Naturist Development Association's (PANDA) $2 bill campaign is in going strong through May 1, and area banks have stocked up on the seldom-used denominations for the cause. The campaign started in the mid-1980s; began again in Pasco County in 2007; and continues with the intention of bringing awareness to local merchants of the impact that nudists and naturists have on the local economy. With 10 independently owned naturist and clothing-optional resorts, R.V. parks, and campgrounds, as well as dozens of nudist/naturist clubs and organizations, and hundreds of nudist-friendly businesses, Pasco is home to the world's largest population of year-round naturists, according to the PANDA press release. That can add up to big business for local merchants, and local businesses are showing their appreciation. Click here to read more. |
