Love Your Body Day
| "Do you love what you see when you look in the mirror?" That's the question that has been posed by the NOW Organization's Love Your Body campaign for more than a decade. October 19, 2011 has been designated Love Your Body Day, a day to celebrate who we really are and what we really look like rather than what advertising and the media dictates. As nudists, we know that there is no gold standard of beauty. We know that we are more than our physical appearance and every person's body is perfect just the way it is. Click here to read more, watch videos and find out ways you can help promote body acceptance.

ESPN To Publish The Body Issue
| ESPN The Magazine's third annual Body Issue hits newsstands next month. Unlike Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue, the magazine features men as well as women and favors athletes over supermodels. Representatives from ESPN said that the purpose of the issue is to show the diversity and strength of the human body and that all bodies are different.
What's interesting is that the magazine doesn't just include beautiful bodies. Past issues of the Body Issue have featured a 350-pound sumo wrestler, a 112-pound jockey, a pregnant USA Softball Olympian and a photo essay on surgery to repair a common sports injury.

In the meantime, don't miss the World of Nude Recreation feature Nudism & Health.
