Celebrate World Naked Gardening Day

Looking for something fun, inexpensive that anyone can do--and do naked? Celebrate World Naked Gardening Day (WNGD), now in its sixth year. This year's event will take place on May 14, and people around the world will "tend to their portion of the world's garden clothed as nature intended," according to the WNGD website.
So what can you do? On May 14, find an opportunity to get naked and do some gardening, alone, with friends, with family, with your gardening club, or with any other group gathered together for that purpose. Do it inside your house, in your back yard, on a hiking trail, at a park, or at your nudist club, making the world a healthier, more environmentally-friendly place to be.

Barcelona Considering Anti-Nudity Law
|  A recent article in the New York Times examines the lack of restrictions on nudity in the city. In 2004, the Barcelona City Council subsidized a brochure called "Expressing Yourself in Nudity." The brochure depicted citizens naked on the street, in the city's parks and other locations, stating that the law "does not contain any article for sanctions against public nudity." But legal nudity might be coming to an end.
Barcelona was also the site of one of Spencer Tunick's installations in 2003, when 7,000 people posed nude for the photographer's work. While the nudity measure has come into question as of late, citizens of all ages currently participate, particularly on the nude beaches in Barcelona.

Tunick Draws Attention To Dead Sea Preservation
|  Artist/photographer Spencer Tunick is seeking funding and models to pose nude for his latest installation of nude volunteers at Israel's Dead Sea shore. The goal is to collect $60,000 for the project titled "Naked Sea." Tunick was drawn to the location for his latest project because it is the lowest point on earth and to draw attention to the evaporation of its salt-saturated waters and natural beauty. Scientists have warned that the Dead Sea could become totally dry by 2050 unless measures are taken to preserve it.
