10 Reasons to Take a Nakation on 10/10/10
|
It only comes around once in a hundred years, and the big day is just
around the corner, so the American Association for Nude Recreation is
encouraging free spirits from coast to coast to let it all hang out at
an AANR nudist resort, nonlanded club event or nude beach on the momentous occasion of 10/10/10.
The following are just a few of the reasons to test the nude recreation waters with a
Nakation next month... 1. It checks off a major "bucket list" item. 2. Most nudist resorts holding membership in the American
Association for Nude Recreation provide philanthropic support for
October's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and proceeds from your
stay could too. 3. Without clothes your body absorbs more vitamin D from the sun,
whose health benefits range from enhancing calcium absorption, to better
sleep and preventing the blues. Read the rest of our list and add your own top 10 reasons to take a Nakation here.

Out To Play
|
Old-timers and longstanding veterans of nudism may recall a motion
picture produced decades ago called "The Magic Glasses." Its central
theme recently received a 21st century treatment in the form of video
animation produced by a Ringling College student for her senior project.
Watch to see what happens when "Toy Story"-style animation meets a
curious, sneaky kid in "Out To Play."

ESPN: The Body Issue
|
 ESPN
magazine's second annual Body Issue hits newsstands tomorrow, October 8. Unlike
Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue, ESPN magazine features men as well as
women and favors athletes over supermodels. Phoenix Mercury basketball star Diana
Taurasi is one of five nude cover subjects, including 12 members of the USA Water
Polo Women's National Team.
Other athletes featured nude in ESPN's The Body Issue
include tennis star Venus Williams, San
Francisco 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis, surfer
Kelly Slater and more. Click here

From Comfort Zone To C.O. Resort
|
 The Foolish
Theatre Company will present a comedy "Skin Deep," from October 16 through
November 6 at Theatre 54 in midtown Manhattan.
The play is about a couple from Ohio who
inherit a clothing-optional resort in Key
West. The husband and wife respond quite differently to their new environment and to the resort's staff.
As the couple
both adjust and resist adjusting to their new home, the play explores what people do when
pushed beyond their comfort zones. "Skin Deep" has toured the country from Maine and Florida to California and Washington. Click here to read more.
