AANR World Record Skinny-Dip Update
|
Plans for the AANR World Record Skinny-Dip are heating up for this year's event on July 10, as part of the Nude Recreation Week festivities. Photos from last year's event, as well as comments from those who participated, can now be seen at aanr.com on the Skinny-Dip page, and will be continually updated leading up to the Skinny-Dip.
Since this page was created, it has been one of the most heavily trafficked pages on the AANR website, visited by over 85,000 viewers in the three months leading up to 2009's event.
This year, a special low cost advertising package is available on the page beginning the first week in April through this year's Skinny-Dip. Let your club be represented. Contact Martha Young at bulletinads@aanr.com for details.

Topless Gardener Gets Complaints
|
A woman in Boulder, Colorado, sparked several complaints to police from passersby who saw her tending her garden wearing only a thong and gardening gloves. Catharine and Robert Pierce, a self-proclaimed nudist couple, received similar complaints last year. According to current statutes, being topless is not
illegal in Boulder. A police supervisor agreed that Mrs. Pierce was not in violation of any law but housing
authority Boulder Housing Partners plans to amend its rules so that
tenants
must cover up when they're outside. The City Council will convene in April to
consider expanding the city's anti-nudity ordinance, but a draft
proposal to
make it an offense for women to go topless in public was removed.

Why Your AANR Membership Matters
|
|
"The main reason I hear for nudists
not joining these organizations is that they disagree with something the
organization is doing. That is seriously flawed logic. If you are opposed to something
an organization is doing, your first step should be talking to the leaders to
learn all the considerations behind their actions. If you then agree, you
should join the organization to support its actions. If you still don't agree,
that's an even stronger reason to join the organization! But simply joining
isn't enough. The active involvement of a large membership is essential for
organizations to achieve their full potential."
