The Skinny On Clothing-Optional Vacations
Christopher Elliott Read the in-depth article about nude recreation by travel writer Christopher Elliott titled "5 reasons to bare it all on your next vacation" at MSNBC.com.

The page features a YouTube video, "The skinny on clothing-optional vacations," a link to AANR Executive Director Erich Schuttauf's September Q&A  "Nude recreation is fun" plus links to other articles of interest about nude recreation. Also included is a poll, "Would you ever strip down for a naked vacation?" So far, out of 1,610 respondents, 64% voted that they "absolutely" are intrigued by the idea of a clothing-optional vacation.

The Oprah Show Skinny-Dip Challenge
Oprah Show Last Wednesday's "Oprah Winfrey Show," themed "Step Out of Your Box," challenged four women to try things they had never attempted before. A mother of four, a divorced woman who just lost her job, a neonatologist, and a single mother of two boys were urged to break from their daily routines. Ali Wentworth guided the women through a roller derby, skydiving--and skinny-dipping.

After the women disrobed and ran into the ocean, one contestant remarked, "Who cares what we look like? We're just going to literally get out of our skin and be a bunch of gals naked in the ocean."

Following the success of last year's hour-long special, host Eve Kelly travels the world in search of the best locations to skinny-dip, challenging unsuspecting strangers along the way to try swimming au naturel.

Episodes include travels to the Canadian Yukon, Costa Rica, Australia, the Bahamas, British Columbia, and New Zealand.

INF Sponsors Nude Swim
INF Swim Over 250 naturists gathered in Great Britain for an international nude swimming gala this month. The International Naturist Federation (INF) event was enjoyed by people ranging in age from 10 to 60.

Team GB competitors were selected from swimmers at an event held earlier this year and competed against teams from France, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, and Italy.

British Naturism commercial manager Andrew Welch, who has been a practicing naturist for 20 years, said he seeks to dispel some of the myths surrounding the nudist lifestyle.

Why Your AANR Membership Matters
"In a sense, I owe my entire lifestyle, and perhaps productive life, to the ASA and its successor, the AANR.  The ASA/AANR has provided legitimacy, philosophy, recreation (swimming, volleyball, and tennis), temporary lodging, contacts, and friends now for 36 years."
