AANR PR Coordinator Carolyn Hawkins and Steve Vickers, as well as information on

AANR Goes To Washington
|
Nudists traded
their birthday suits for business suits when they visited
congressional offices, June 8-10, for Great Outdoors Week. While this year marks the most significant Washington, D.C., effort to date, AANR has been making such visits for about 10 years. AANR Executive Director Erich Schuttauf joined
government affairs team representatives and members from every geographic
region in the U.S., making visits to dozens of House and Senate offices in
addition to "fly-by" visits to many more. Meetings were held with top echelons from several agencies with the power to direct the future of nudity on public lands as well as attending informal luncheons with members of the judiciary, so all three branches of the government were reached during the course of the visit.
To date, AANR's
Washington, D.C., visit resulted in coverage by two
prestigious Capitol Hill newspapers, The Hill and The Washington Independent.

Naked Wines "Strips Away Costs"
|
Naked Wines calls itself an "online farmer's market for independent wineries" in the U.K. The website offers discount prices on a variety of wines from independent sellers, "stripping" away extra expenses such as packaging, bottling and marketing, making the wines more affordable. According to inventerspot.com, other winery websites are sure to copy this marketing strategy. However, they say Naked Wines just may have the edge since it has based its marketing concept on the use of one of Google's most popular keywords, "naked."

Don't Try This At Home

 While this photo of actor/comedian Will Ferrell almost wants to make you wince in pain, it's not from his latest stand-up routine or a hit summer movie. Ferrell can be seen in a semi-nude pose on every bottle of the new product, Will Ferrell Sunscreen. Proceeds benefit Cancer for College, which helps provide funding for cancer survivors to attend college.
The photo is also a great reminder to wear sunscreen at your favorite nudist location this summer.
