CNN Features Nakations
|
Nude travel, and how it is faring in today's economy, was the focus of a cover
story in the travel section at CNN.com on March 22. According to the article, while some nudist
resort owners say they are cutting back because of the economic downturn,
others are breaking even or expanding their budgets this year, making nude
travel a top trend that isn't hurting like many other travel venues. Five
AANR-affiliated clubs are profiled in the article, and a link was provided to
AANR's club pages, which should give all clubs a boost in Web traffic.
It's finally spring, so grab your sunblock and go on Nakation!

Pepsi In The Raw

The new ad
campaign for Pepsi Raw is using nudity to highlight the natural ingredients in the product. The drink, from PepsiCo, is made from apple extract and
acacia and other natural ingredients. "Pepsi Raw: In
the Raw," was created in the UK, and the ad makes the case that being nude is natural and so are the ingredients
in Pepsi Raw.

No Clothing Required

Clothes
will be strictly forbidden at Germany's
first nudist hotel which is set to open in the Black Forest town of Freudenstadt, which means Town of Joys. Nudism has always been popular in Germany,
and last year a German travel agency offered all-nude flights which garnered
plenty of media buzz worldwide. Guests will be required to remove their clothes at the
entrance and must remain nude at all times while on the grounds of the Hotel
Rosengarten, according to the strict house rules that have already been posted
on the Internet.

Clothes-Free Travel
|
An
advertisement for Volkswagen's Routan minivan shows a light-hearted look at how
a small boy deals with having a drink spilled on him by stowing his clothes in
an under-seat bin and taking to the road in
the buff. The commercial is currently playing in prime time on the
major networks, and it is one more example of mainstream culture grasping, if only in a small
way, that going clothes-free can help make a person more care-free. If
you have not yet seen the commercial, you can watch it on YouTube, although it
is currently only available in Spanish.
