Members Angry At Facebook Policy
|
Facebook, the online social networking site, has angered some members with its policy regarding nonsexual nudity. Particularly upset are moms who post pictures of themselves breastfeeding their babies only to have the photos deleted. A Facebook group called "Hey, Facebook, breastfeeding is not obscene!" now has over 97,000 members. 11,000 of them participated in the group's "virtual nurse-in" by swapping out regular profile photos with pictures of them breastfeeding. Although Facebook says that it does not search for photos that contain nudity, they are quick to remove them if they are flagged as inappropriate by another user.
