Our hearts and prayers go out to the people of Japan as they try to recover from the massive destruction caused by the earthquake and ensuing tsunami. The destruction is astounding and heart breaking. More locally, the folks in Santa Cruz and Crescent City are picking up the pieces from the damage caused by rogue waves and excessively rapid currents. We wish them the best of luck with their recovery.

Things like this tend to get you to take pause and realize that life can change so rapidly. You never know what's around the next corner. We'd better enjoy it while we can! Sailing on Saturday was sublime and even though it was a bit gray and drizzly on Sunday, there was lots of wind and it turned out to be a very pleasant day for a sail as well! See . . . you gotta take it while you can get it!
