Greetings! It's Fleet Week . . . it's only a matter of time before the glass in your windows will start to rattle and you'll hear the roar of those mechanical wonders in the sky. We are all awed by their flights of fancy and the speed at which they perform.
The whole Bay Area can't help but get involved. It does feel as though everyone who has ever even thought about boating is out on the water. To that point, please be careful. Other boaters may be looking skyward instead of focusing on where they are going, so defensive driving is the theme of the day. A lot of folks who are out on the water don't boat that frequently, so they may not be paying attention to rules of the road or even know them for that matter . . . assume the latter.
All this being said, this is one of the most exciting days on the water. Stay alert, stay sober, stay safe and have fun!
We will have these documents for all of our charterers but feel free to download them for your benefit and enjoyment!

TODAY'S TIP
Remember where your slip is!
It's common to use the boat to the left or right of you to identify where your slip is, but what happens when you pull back in and neither of those boats are there? Your slip number is on your post cruise document but sometimes it's hard to see slip numbers. Make a mental note or even draw a map for yourself to get you back into the correct slip. When all the boats are gone like this, it potentially only takes one boat in the wrong slip to create a chain reaction of every boat in the wrong slip, which makes the dock staff kinda grumpy . . . let's keep Colin, Rosario, Nate and Hill smiling - put your boat back in its proper slip! |
