Greetings! This weekend is the Leukemia Cup Regatta. If you haven't participated in this event before, you may want to consider getting involved. Gary Jobson, who is a world class sailor and the chairperson of the Leukemia Cup Regatta, was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2003. After having spearheaded fundraising for years, he ended up being the recipient of the advances in cancer research. He is now cancer free. When asked what he thought about that ironic twist of fate, he said, "When you help other people out, in the end it might be just you that is helped out the most."
Volunteer, charter a boat and cheer on your favorite crew - or just donate. Click here to see how you can get involved.

TODAY'S TIP
Don't force it - follow the line!
We may have used this tip before but it's so important that it bears repeating - if you are pulling on a line and it becomes difficult to the point of having to put it on a winch (outside of your basic tacking) STOP... follow the line to the source and figure out what is causing the line to be so difficult to pull. If you continue to force the line you will likely cause damage to the boat and possibly injure yourself or a member of your crew.

NAUTICAL NOGGIN-BOGGLER WINNER!
We selected our winner randomly from the correct answers submitted. Don't miss your chance to dazzle us with your knowledge and win a prize!
Congratulations to John Teague, this week's winner of a Blue Angels patch!
QUESTION: What is the top speed that the Blue Angels will fly during an air show and how much does one of the planes cost?
ANSWER:
The top speed that the Blue Angels fly is just below MACH 1. At MACH 1, 749 mph, a sonic boom is created that can break your windows, so the flight team keeps the top speed down to a modest 700 mph during the show. And speaking of modest, the planes costs a mere $21 million each!
