Greetings! It's boat show time! To boaters, that usually means dream time. Head on over to Jack London Square and climb on board beautiful new sail and powerboats. Sit on one of the artfully displayed yachts and picture yourself entertaining guests; envision uncorking that bottle of wine to share a glass with your fellow crew members in the cockpit as you relive the sail under the Golden Gate Bridge. Visualize 18 knots of wind, your boat perfectly trimmed, reaching across the Bay on a beautiful sunny day. Imagine yourself heading out the gate and turning left.
Even if you're not ready to buy, you are within your full rights to dream! Frankly, dreaming is Club Nautique's specialty! We provide you with the know-how to fulfill your dreams, the platform to get you started and the continuous encouragement of your sailing growth.
So dream away sailors and future sailors! We'll be right there next to you with wind in our hair and stars in our eyes.

TODAY'S TIP By: Fleet Manager, Jerry Nassoiy
Write legibly on your Post Cruise!
The post cruise document is very important to us. Your valuable feedback helps us stay ahead of maintenance issues on the boats so that we can keep them in tip-top shape! For the post cruise to be effective, we have to be able to read and understand your comments. Please try to take a moment and make sure that we can read your notes. Be sure when using words such as "it", that you define exactly what "it" is that you're referring to. |

NAUTICAL NOGGIN-BOGGLER WINNER!
We selected our winner randomly from the correct answers submitted. Don't miss your chance to dazzle us with your knowledge and win a prize!
Congratulations to Jim Gross, this week's winner of hat clip from the Club Nautique pro shop! QUESTION:
In
motoring, the "Three Escapes" relies on wind awareness in conjunction
with the running light sectors. You're driving a single screw vessel
with a right hand prop and when in reverse, your boat walks to port.
Consider that the wind is coming from sectors A, B or C, match the
sector with the best escape:
Three point turn Back and Fill Back Down
ANSWER:
1. A, 2. B, 3. C
The three point turn is a tight turn that is used to minimize the negative effects of prop walk. The back and fill is a tight, pivot turn that uses rotational momentum to keep the boat turning. The back down escape allows you to get your boat under control and lets you get to a place with enough sea room to get your boat turned around.
