Greetings!
The barriers that tend to prevent people from going sailing are confidence, crew and cost. That's why we're here! We love getting you up to speed, and nothing thrills us more than seeing your confidence build as you spread your wings. We love getting you in touch with like-minded people who want to go out and experience the thrill of learning the power and excitement of sailing. As for the cost, we could share countless testimonials of boat owners that laud the benefit of club membership vs. boat ownership in a dollar-to-dollar comparison. Plus, the more people that you get to know who are willing to share charter costs, the better off you are!
Join us for our Charter Share party to build your crew list, meet some new sailing buddies, learn about exciting new charter share events, and have some fun!
We look forward to seeing you there!

TODAY'S TIP From Charter Share Queen - Patricia Salmon
When setting up a charter share, provide an itinerary for the day to get people excited about the trip. Plan a stop for lunch and delegate provisioning responsibilities - people love to contribute and feel as though they are an integral part of the crew. If you need suggestions, we are happy to fill you in on some of our favorite places to stop for lunch or help plan your weekend rendezvous! Just ask! Patricia and her crew rockin' out to Paul McCartney in McCovey Cove!

SPOTLIGHT ON BEAR BOAT
There has been an exciting new transformation to our Jeanneau 40.3, Bear Boat out of Sausalito - her main sail has gone traditional! Owner, Paul Koenig, couldn't wait to share the latest adjustment to one of the stars of our fleet, Bear Boat. She now has a full traditional main with the following features: - 4 full length battens
- 3 reef points
- lazy jacks with integrated sail pack with zipper (no need to cover/uncover the sail)
In addition to the super cool mainsail, she also boasts these fun extras: - An extra large round kettle style BBQ (in the dock box)
- 8' Inflatable packed and stored in the boat
- Asym spinnaker available to qualified skippers
- AIS receiver integrated into the chart plotters (combine chart information with Radar and ship AIS information)
- DSC enabled VHF radio (GPS enabled, integrated with the chart plotter)

Club Nautique will choose the winner for this week's Boggler randomly from all of the correct entries. Please respond by noon on Monday, July 26th.
Four couples decided to take a five day trip to the Delta on our catamaran, Cats Aye and split the cost evenly. The skipper is a Club Nautique member and has taken and passed our Catamaran class. They planned to spend six nights and five days aboard this beautiful floating condo. They scheduled to board the boat at 4pm on Wednesday, August 18th and get off the boat at 8am on Tuesday, August 24th. How much would the charter share cost be for each person per day? |
CAUGHT ON CAMERA
Bob Lemme and his son Josh enjoyed their summer vacation up in the Delta at sailing camp. Josh took 2nd out of 30 races over the week! Congratulations Josh! You're a chip off the old block!
