Greetings!
The trees are swaying with a steady breeze. Just across the parking lot of our office the water sparkles with inviting flecks of sunshine as a sailboat moves serenely and steadily along the city front. It's admittedly hard to concentrate on work when that scene is the view out your window. Helloooooo Springtime!!!
KFOG Kaboom is this weekend. It's moved to a new location further south by Candlestick Park. Be sure to check the charts of the new location for restricted areas and charted depths. See below for tips and tricks by School Director, Dave Scott. Have fun and be careful!

ARMED FORCES CUP RESULTS

COAST GUARD WINS 2nd YEAR IN A ROW! From left: SK1 Robert Dobrocke, SN Lindsey Schmid, SN Cory Malstrom and CN Instructor, Dean Dietrich
It was truly our honor to host the men and women of the Armed Forces this past weekend for the second annual American Armed Forces Cup. It was a small way of saying "Thank you" for the very big job that they do every day. We shared a day full of fun, excitement and good cheer. Each branch of the military had their own boat with a professional skipper/coach on board. They raced three races. The Coast Guard led all three races with the Air Force drafting off their stern but never able to accelerate ahead. The Marines were unable to attend due to service requirements so that left the Navy and the Army to battle it out for third and fourth places. The Navy came in third in the first two races but then got a little too aggressive on the third race and were forced to complete penalty turns and gave up the third place position to the Army. A great time was had by all. We look forward to next year where the other branches will be gunning for the Coast Guard and the coveted trophy!
The Air Force may have come in second, but they won first place for the best coordinated uniforms.
The Navy team while short handed on crew were long on cheer and enthusiasm.
The Army enjoyed an exhilarating day of learning and fun on the water.

CHARTERBOAT OWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Get Lucky!
Lucky G off of Ballena Bay during a Basic Powerboating Class
 | Have you been waiting for the right time to own a boat? Your time may have arrived! Club Nautique's 32' Nordic Tug, Lucky G, is for sale for the very attractive price of $240,000. Club Nautique wants to keep the boat in the fleet so we are bringing this opportunity to the attention of all of our readers. Here are some reasons why this may be the time for you to buy a boat: - Lucky G has some of the best charter performance of the entire Club Nautique fleet.
- Congress recently extended, through year's end, an increase in the Section 179 Tax Deduction to $250,000. This means that the full purchase price of the boat can be deducted from your taxes this year.
- Club Nautique is waiving its customary "charter placement fee".
- Even though Lucky G is a 2006 model year, it has been professionally maintained to the highest of standards for Club Nautique's charter use, so you can get a pre-owned boat while being confident that you won't encounter any surprises.
- Owning this boat will give you a place to stay or a yacht to use on the Bay in the most affordable way, ever.
Every one of Club Nautique's powerboating students start on this boat and they universally agree on what a great boat she is. If you have ever given thought to purchasing a yacht but felt the timing or economy was not right to do so, let's discuss it. Please direct any questions you may have to me personally.
