Greetings!
A little taste of sunshine always leaves us wanting more. Sailing in t-shirts and shorts tends to get us dreaming about warmer days! A cruise up the Delta can usually make those dreams come true! Right here in our back yard is a fresh water playground full of miles and miles of territory just waiting to be explored.
Now with our members-only, extended-weekend special, you have more of a reason to book your boat for a relaxing cruise up the Delta! You can join us for our Memorial Day Rendezvous! Or come to our Open House in Alameda this weekend and choose the boat that will take you on that mini family vacation or that romantic get away!

TODAY'S TIP
Practice safe habits while swimming. If you take a trip up to the Delta, swimming is a regular occurrence - even on the San Francisco Bay there are times when you might decide to take the plunge! First of all, wait until you're anchored to enjoy a dip; don't jump off of a moving vessel. Never swim in between two boats that are rafted up together. Always let others know that you're going into the water so they are aware of your whereabouts. Always wear a life jacket, even if you think that you're a strong swimmer. Currents can catch you by surprise, so be sure to throw a long line with flotation off the back and keep a hold of the line to keep you attached to the boat.

Congratulations to this week's winner of a free "Hump Night" Sail!
Nick Foskett! QUESTION: In honor of our Sausalito Open House, in about 150 words, compose an
entertaining anecdote utilizing as many of the names of the boats in
our Sausalito fleet as you possibly can. Our panel of judges will
decide on a winner based on originality. Click here to view list of Sausalito boats.
ANSWER: Thanks for all of the creative entries, but there could only be one winner:
A Summer Gale was blowing. Zoraida was riding a Swell, Bound for Vienna, which seemed to the crew like a Leap of Faith by the captain. They often wondered why he was nicknamed Scout. It was that foxy Vixen - Anne's Turn on the helm, so the boys decided and to Hoista Few drops of Amarantime Elixir. Cries of "That was a Gute Fahrt 2!" and "Mahoo!" soon emanated from the cockpit. One of the boys decided he'd go Wanderin' Bear around the boat and soon Anne had a Bear Boat on her hands. She sighed. Sailing was supposed to be a Dream. "Catcher bit of La Vie En Rose we will'', her English husband had said to her in that funny accent of his. Oh well, the boys hi-jinks aside, she was having the time of her life!

CHARTERBOAT OWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Get Lucky!
Lucky G off of Ballena Bay during a Basic Powerboating Class
 | Have you been waiting for the right time to own a boat? Your time may have arrived! Club Nautique's 32' Nordic Tug, Lucky G, is for sale for the very attractive price of $240,000. Club Nautique wants to keep the boat in the fleet so we are bringing this opportunity to the attention of all of our readers. Here are some reasons why this may be the time for you to buy a boat: - Lucky G has some of the best charter performance of the entire Club Nautique fleet.
- Congress recently extended, through year's end, an increase in the Section 179 Tax Deduction to $250,000. This means that the full purchase price of the boat can be deducted from your taxes this year.
- Club Nautique is waiving its customary "charter placement fee".
- Even though Lucky G is a 2006 model year, it has been professionally maintained to the highest of standards for Club Nautique's charter use, so you can get a pre-owned boat while being confident that you won't encounter any surprises.
- Owning this boat will give you a place to stay or a yacht to use on the Bay in the most affordable way, ever.
Every one of Club Nautique's powerboating students start on this boat and they universally agree on what a great boat she is. If you have ever given thought to purchasing a yacht but felt the timing or economy was not right to do so, let's discuss it. Please direct any questions you may have to me personally.
