AMERICA'S CUP AT STRICTLY SAIL
The America's Cup was presented to a standing room only crowd at the Strictly Sail Boat Show. The crowd was enthusiastic and excited to get a glimpse at the trophy but they were also eager to hear from some of the sailors and designers of the revolutionary trimaran that won the trophy and brought it back to American soil. Those in attendance were treated to a sneak peek of a documentary that is being put together about the race - in it, Larry Ellison, the CEO and owner of Oracle and one of the wealthiest men in the world, revealed a vulnerable side as he talked about the realization that he was not just winning this race for himself, but also for America. It was an exciting evening! Learn more about BMW ORACLE RACING.

Club Nautique has developed a new and exciting race program! We have ordered two new spinnakers and are putting them on a couple of our Alameda Colgates for some tight match racing fun between April 2 and September 3. We will be racing with the Ballena Bay Yacht Club every other Friday night, but with two identically outfitted boats in each race we will also have the excitement of our own race-within-a-race! There are a total of twelve races in the series, which we are dividing into three four-race mini-series. There will be a race-seasoned Club Nautique instructor onboard to coach you and give you tips, but you will be driving, trimming and calling the tactics.
Racers must be BC certified. No spinnaker experience required.

CHARTERBOAT OWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Get Lucky!
Lucky G off of Ballena Bay during a Basic Powerboating Class
 | Have you been waiting for the right time to own a boat? Your time may have arrived! Club Nautique's 32' Nordic Tug, Lucky G, is for sale for the very attractive price of $240,000. Club Nautique wants to keep the boat in the fleet so we are bringing this opportunity to the attention of all of our readers. Here are some reasons why this may be the time for you to buy a boat: - Lucky G has some of the best charter performance of the entire Club Nautique fleet.
- Congress recently extended, through year's end, an increase in the Section 179 Tax Deduction to $250,000. This means that the full purchase price of the boat can be deducted from your taxes this year.
- Club Nautique is waiving its customary "charter placement fee".
- Even though Lucky G is a 2006 model year, it has been professionally maintained to the highest of standards for Club Nautique's charter use, so you can get a pre-owned boat while being confident that you won't encounter any surprises.
- Owning this boat will give you a place to stay or a yacht to use on the Bay in the most affordable way, ever.
Every one of Club Nautique's powerboating students start on this boat and they universally agree on what a great boat she is. If you have ever given thought to purchasing a yacht but felt the timing or economy was not right to do so, let's discuss it. Please direct any questions you may have to me personally.

CAUGHT ON CAMERA
At the Boat Show in Jack London Square, the Jeanneau 57 made its debut. We'd be happy to put her in the fleet! With 32 people in the cockpit, there was still room to move! What a beauty!
Members, Warren and Diana, see what it's like behind the helm of the 57'!
The beautiful weather was the perfect venue for viewing boats and taking a free sailboat ride. Here, the ever talented Sherrie Conrad helps folks off the boat.
Richard Foregger spent the day treating folks to pleasant rides up and down the Esstuary.
Hot shot team, Bryan Chavez behind the helm and Paul Koenig as his deck hand on board our Jeanneau 45', Aquavit, showed off their close quarters maneuvering. Great job guys!
There were lots of smiling faces at the Latitudes and Attitudes party on Saturday night.
