Greetings,

This invitation is extended to invite your participation in the 2008 North Carolina Cancer Survivorship Summit to be held at the Twin City Quarter in Winston-Salem, NC on Friday, June 13, 2008.  NC Comprehensive Cancer is inviting you to be a member of a group of 450 cancer survivors (patients, family members, caretakers, and other loved ones), advocates, and others to share information and network with other survivors.

We ask that you share the content of this email and these materials with cancer survivors and family members, advocates, support groups, professional associations, and others who are concerned with and who work on behalf of cancer survivors. The deadline for the submission of applications is Monday, June 2, 2008. A limited number of scholarships are being offered to cover travel for survivors and caretakers or loved ones.  Apply early; these scholarships will be taken fast!

Sincerely,
NC Comprehensive Cancer Program
ACS Capital Hill Bus

Each signature on the American Cancer Society's Celebration Bus represents a brief story of hope, courage, and struggle, and is a way to say, "I care about cancer, and I vote."  The American Cancer Society's Celebration Bus is once again on the move!  The Bus has not been activated since 2002 when it traveled across 48 states, collecting signatures of thousands of cancer survivors and supporters, as a testament of the impact of cancer in people's lives.

This year, the Celebration Bus, is again traveling across the United States, with plans to collect even more signatures, and produce more media coverage!  This year's goal is for the bus to be at Capitol Hill on November 4, 2008, just in time for the national elections.   ACS Celebration Bus will help make cancer an important issue for voters and candidates alike, on all levels.

This super event is being brought to YOU!  The Celebration Bus will be traveling through Winston-Salem in June, making a stop at NC Comprehensive Cancer's Annual Survivorship Summit.  This is your chance to make a difference in the lives of American's affected by cancer.  Come to the conference, sign the bus and allow your voice to be heard!
