Three day weeding marathon in Granny's Gardens

The awesome amount of rain has been great for the gardens - and the weeds.  Come join us during our three day weeding marathon.  Don't know the difference between a petunia (desirable plant) and nut grass (weed), you will after working one shift.  You will work right along with Granny and her gardeners who will guide you.  The soil is nice and moist and did you know - we do not have clay down here in the valley.  So, weeding is easy but we need lots of hands to help.

You are invited to pick a bouquet after working a two hour shift.  Pick the day and time that works for you.

We will be in the gardens Thursday, evening 5-8:30 and Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 5 - 8:30 p.m.

Please respond to this email if you can help.

For a donation of $35 you may pick ten bouquets of up to 24 stems from Granny's Gardens.  The program is available June through October and includes flowers and herbs.  You may pick everything except sunflowers at any time that is convenient to you except during school hours.  You will receive a Pick-a-Bouquet Club membership card. It makes a great gift and is a great way to recognize a special employee or say "Thank you."

The first one is Sunday, July 12 and features the cooking expertise of Philippe Audax and Rita Heikenfeld.
