Teaching in the gardens
Cherry tomatoes, Banana peppers and common basil

We received a donation of tomato, pepper and basil plants from Stephanie Meyers owner of Mi Jardin Landscaping.  There are 250 cherry tomato plants in gallon pots, 200 banana pepper plants and 100 common basil plants in 4" pots.  The students will be planting a lot of the plants in their gardens this week. Since we have already planted about 50 tomato plants and loads of basil this is more than we can use.

Stephanie gave us permission to sell whatever we cannot use.  We are offering the tomato plants for a $3 donation and the peppers and  basil for a $1.50 donation.  These are large, healthy plants that are not root bound.

The plants will be available outside of the primary and elementary schools Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  You may pay with a check or cash.  We are offering these on the honor system.  Take what you can use and send a check for the amount to Granny's Garden School, 20 Miamiview Drive, Loveland, OH.  If you come during the school day, you may give the money to the school secretary.  Please put the check or cash in an envelope with "Granny" on the outside.  You must have the correct change.
For a donation of $35 you may pick ten bouquets of up to 24 stems from Granny's Gardens.  The program is available June through October and includes flowers and herbs.  You may pick everything except sunflowers at any time that is convenient to you except during school hours.  You will receive a Pick-a-Bouquet Club membership card. It makes a great gift and is a great way to recognize a special employee or say "Thank you."
