Marvin's Organic Gardens teams with the The Healing Center to launch the Giving Garden
The Giving Garden is an idea that Marvin Duran and his son Wes have been thinking about for a long time. They wanted to encourage families to grow vegetables in their backyard and share some of their harvest with a food pantry so other families could benefit as well.
That is one reason they became one of the sponsors of our Backyard Family Garden Project. Now they have teamed with the The Healing Center, an outreach of Vineyard Community Church, to launch the Giving Garden.
To encourage families to get involved, Marvin's is offering FREE gardening workshops and organic fertelizer and compost to people that attend.
