Speakers Announced for Upcoming Rally for Homeownership
Join KCRAR as we Rally for Homeownership from 11:30-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum (500 W. U.S. Highway 24, Independence, MO 64050).
Speakers for the event include Congressman Emanuel Cleaver II; Nick Jordan, Secretary of Revenue for Kansas; Chris Koster, Attorney General for Missouri; Johnson County Commissioner and former KC Chief Dave Lindstrom; Mayor Don Reimal, Independence, MO; Kevin Stucker, President of the Greater Kansas City Homebuilders Association; and Tom Woods, Third Vice-Chair of the National Association of Homebuilders.

Fannie and Freddie to increase mortgage fees
Effective Nov. 1, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has ordered Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to increase their mortgage guarantee fees by 10 basis points (0.1 percent). Unfortunately, the fee increases will be passed on to borrowers in the form of higher interest rates. This increase will cost a borrower with a $200,000 mortgage loan about $4,000 in additional fees over the life of a 30-year mortgage loan. Read more >>

Code of Ethics Training
Around 2,500 KCRAR members have not yet completed Code of Ethics training. All KCRAR members must complete and report Code of Ethics training by December 31, 2012.

Apple has announced that the new iPhone 5 will be available for order this month. However, Supra customers who wish to run the eKEY application on an iPhone 5 may want to consider delaying their purchase of the iPhone 5 until Supra's testing is complete.
